There are seven chakras that go up the body. Each pool of energy has a purpose, and can be blocked by a specific kind of emotional muck.

(via ramble-inthe-roots)
in 2 months i will be getting another new place. only this time will be very different.
it will be a house. with a garage. and a fenced in yard. this is a pretty big deal for me. it means a lot more freedom and responsibility.
ive been very interested in the idea of clean eating lately. it holds a lot of values i see fitting for every aspect of life.
simplicity.
you cook foods that are in as pure form as possibly attainable. no packaged mixes with mysterious ingredients. you buy the ingredients and make the food. that simple. and if you can you stay away from frying things and a few other “rules”.
so this sprung a dead idea in me. because ive been living rather lavishly for the past few months. (i know im a total hypocrite)
how about you live simply in all aspect of your life. clean.
see my problem for so long has been my creativity. it starts with my art work and clothing (an exterior expression of myself) that i collect. i am in NO WAY a hoarder by the way, but i tend to be attached (the bad word) and a bit lazy. but its not hard to realize that if you have less, you have less to take care of.
so that will be my goal, i suppose. a simple pantry. and a simple house.
the food i need, the furniture i need, a few nice un cluttered decorations.
(like a better home and garden house, or design sponge)
i still feel this lingering feeling of how badly im craving aesthetic over true simplicity. its still sort of consumer based. buy this and your life will be more convenient, look like this and you’ll look cool.
but hey. we have to take baby steps in this life right? first step is ridding myself of old art work, stuffed animals, and projects that will never be complete, or if they do get completed will never fit in the grand scheme of my life. and any clutter-some useless bathroom stuff (which i know ii have!) if you dont use it lose it and never buy it again. and be much more mindful of the things you do buy! you can probably do with out them!
what ever will i do what i want to start a home based craft or something or other business?! hahaha

Overcome past abuses, neglect and shame, filling the dark areas of your life with a powerful cleansing light, meditating with Orange Calcite from Mexico today’s healing Crystal of the Day.
“Orange Calcite is a highly energizing and cleansing stone. Balancing the emotions, it removes fear and overcomes depression, dissolving problems and maximizing potential. This stone removes karmic hooks and memories of old abuse held in the sacral chakra, facilitating healing on all levels. It assists in integrating new insights and creativity into everyday life.” - Judy Hall from The Encyclopedia of Crystals
“Orange Calcite stimulates the physical body and one’s sexual and creative energy. It helps one overcome depression, lethargy or inactivity and can be a wonderful ally in reclaiming one’s health and vitality. Orange Calcite is a cardinal Fire element stone. It encourages warmth, circulation, metabolism and the flow of energy. It can assist one in dispelling the aspects of one’s life which need to be released before one can move on.
Orange Calcite brings the ray of sunlight into the dark corners of one’s energy field, encouraging one to shake off the ‘blues’ and set one’s sights once again on one’s dreams. Orange Calcite helps clear and activate the second and third chakras (navel and solar plexus areas). It is a powerful ally for those in the creative arts, or for those who wish to experience a fuller expression of their creativity. It is excellent for improving business or increasing the flow of money through already established channels.
Orange Calcite carries solar energy. It encourages one in new endeavors and helps one break out of old patterns. It is an excellent ally for overcoming shyness and indecision.” - Naisha Ahsian from The Book of Stones“Of all the Reproductive Energy Center stones that you might choose to work with, Orange Calcite will likely be the most playful you will encounter. Specifically the tangerine colored Calcite that is normally found Mexico. (Orange from Madagascar is nice but feels much more serious!)
This Energy Center is all about ‘pleasure’! Anything that makes you smile, be it a piece of music or your friend with the quirky sense of humor. If it brings you pleasure, it is stimulating your 2nd Energy Center! Orange Calcite immediately activates this type of stimulating energy. It is a pleasure to look at and a pleasure to hold…(like a juicy orange)! It feels playful because it immediately ‘lightens’ the mood and helps your mind start to drift. This is probably the biggest reason it is associated with helping to relieve the symptoms of depression. Rather than staying in the energy of ‘gray’ that sometimes accompanies melancholy, it is like you are infused with a shot of bright orange light.
Activating this Energy Center is also associated with stimulating sexual energy in the body. In this case, it is ideal for ‘not taking yourself so seriously’. For many, true sexual expression can be difficult if they feel there are ‘perceived’ ways in which it is suppose to be expressed, shared or enjoyed. If you come from a background that frowned on it as ‘pleasure’ or had rules about when, where and how…it can take the spontaneity and playfulness out of your sexual expression. This is a stone to remind you of the joy of your sexual nature.
In the same way, if you are looking for ‘creative’ stimulation. Orange Calcite can help you think outside the box. If you already consider yourself a ‘creative person’, it may be the perfect tool when you are feeling blocked. If on the other hand, you feel like you have no natural creativity (in your head too much), it can help you lighten up and see that creativity comes in many different forms. It encourages you to ‘color outside the lines’. A great practice for those who are trying to get to a point in life where they are not taking themselves so seriously!
As you work with Orange Calcite to tap into the energies of pleasure, sexuality and creativity don’t be surprised to see an elevation of vitality and increased confidence. These are all expansive energies and because they also add the element of playfulness - expect to move through your day with renewed zest.
Another area that Orange Calcite can assist with is reframing childhood experiences. As adults we go through challenges or difficult situations, and for the most part, after some time has past, we can see how the situation actually ‘served’ us. We understand the ‘lesson’ and how to incorporate what we have learned into our lives. This is not always true for the events that we encounter in our childhood, and many of us never take the time to go back and ‘reframe’ those experiences from the perspective of how they served us on our journey. Without putting these into perspective, it is easy to repeat the pattern of the event over and over again, hoping for or expecting different outcomes. ” - Charles McAlpine from The Magic of CrystalsOrange Calcite Affirmation: “I vividly enjoy all dimensions of myself and my life and take pleasure in creating more.” - Naisha Ahsian from The Book of Stones
